Hello, I'm Aadrika.

Most of my work begins with a question I can't quite put down. Often it's about a brain. Sometimes it's about a machine, or the people trying to make sense of one.

I work with EEG, study how biological and artificial intelligence behave, and build things with other people. This website brings those parts of my life together.

If you came for the research, a good place to start is an experiment about recognizing someone from their brain signals. It began with a problem in how we test these systems: recognizing a person in one recording session doesn't tell us whether we'll recognize them in the next.

Another part of my work happens away from the computer. I've taught EEG, ECG, and EMG in government schools and helped build communities where people can try their first project. I'm interested in what happens when science reaches someone who hasn't been invited into it before.

I also write. Sometimes that means following a research question; sometimes it means trying to understand the odd experience of having a body, or why I wanted a website of my own.

There's a list of books, films, essays, and music here too. I don't have a theory that ties all of it together. These are simply things I wanted to keep nearby.
